IGP Disu Orders Massive Security Deployment for Easter Celebrations

ABUJA, Nigeria – Olatunji Rilwan Disu has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians nationwide and ordered comprehensive security measures to safeguard festivities during Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday.
A statement signed by DCP Anthony Okon on Friday Placid noted that Commissioners of Police and Tactical Commanders across all states and the Federal Capital Territory will implement strategic deployment of tactical teams, intelligence operatives, and the Special Intervention Squad at worship centers and key infrastructure.
IGP Disu also directed heightened patrols on highways, motor parks, and recreational areas, alongside stop-and-search duties to proactively deter criminal activities. He called on the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities via the emergency lines: 08057000001, 08057000002, 09133333785, and 09133333786.
