BENIN, Nigeria – The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) has received three complete dialysis machines donated by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, to strengthen kidney care services for patients living with renal diseases.
The donation was made through His Love Foundation (HLF), the church’s Christian Social Responsibility arm, and formally presented to the hospital in Benin City on Thursday.
Receiving the equipment, the Chief Medical Director of UBTH, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, commended the Adeboyes for the intervention, describing it as a significant contribution that would complement government efforts to improve healthcare delivery.
Representing His Love Foundation, Pastor Bode Olojede said the dialysis machines were donated to support patients battling kidney-related illnesses and reduce the burden of accessing life-saving treatment.
He explained that the foundation remains committed to improving lives through interventions in healthcare, education, hunger relief, rehabilitation, prison ministry and social enterprise.
According to him, Pastor Adeboye and his wife have continued to support Nigeria’s healthcare sector through the construction of intensive care units, establishment of dialysis centres and donation of critical medical equipment to teaching hospitals and healthcare institutions nationwide.
