LAGOS, Nigeria – The Lagos Waste Management Authority has intensified waste collection efforts ahead of Easter festivities.
Managing Director Muyiwa Gbadegesin said LAWMA deployed extra personnel and equipment across high-traffic areas such as markets and motor parks to ensure timely service. He encouraged residents to adopt waste reduction practices, separate recyclables, and avoid indiscriminate dumping.
Gbadegesin emphasised that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility between residents, service providers, and the government, particularly as the rainy season approaches. Residents can report issues via LAWMA’s customer care line 07080601020 or official social media channels.
