ABUJA, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination can begin printing their UTME result slip, a key document required for university admission processes across Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, JAMB said the original UTME result slip would be available for printing within two hours.
The document contains essential information including candidates’ photographs, national rankings and security features used for verification during post-UTME screening and admissions.
According to the board, candidates can access and print the result slip using any internet-enabled device from their homes, offices or accredited business centres.
The announcement was signed by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin.
JAMB advised candidates to verify all information on the printed document and keep copies for future use during admission processes.
The release of the original UTME result slip marks a crucial stage in Nigeria’s tertiary admission cycle, as universities increasingly rely on authenticated documents to verify applicants’ identities and academic records.
The board urged candidates to complete the process promptly to avoid delays during post-UTME registration and institutional screening exercises.
