KANO, Nigeria – Bayero University Kano (BUK) has expelled 57 students over confirmed involvement in examination malpractice.
The decision followed the Senate’s 427th meeting on 10 September 2025, according to Director of Examinations Aminu Wada Kurawa in a statement issued on Sunday.
Kurawa said eight other students were rusticated while two were cleared while the case of one candidate remains under investigation.
“The Senate approved the expulsion of 57 students in line with BUK’s regulations,” the statement said.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to academic integrity, warning students against misconduct.
