In a statement by his media adviser Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu extended condolences to victims’ families and affected institutions, including the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), United Capital, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, and Afriland Properties Limited.
“The President extends his condolences to management and staff of Afriland Properties, FIRS, United Capital, and UBA, particularly those who lost loved ones and those injured,” the statement read.
Tinubu praised first responders for their swift action: “We commend the Federal Fire Service, medical personnel, and members of the public who showed deep responsibility during evacuation.”
He urged vigilance and preparedness to prevent future tragedies, stressing that fire safety measures must be strengthened in public and private spaces.
The President prayed for the repose of the departed and comfort for grieving families, assuring the injured of his prayers for speedy recovery.
