KATSINA, Nigeria – Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has pledged to establish an ICT laboratory at the Federal University of Technology Ilaro to strengthen digital skills among students.
The governor made the commitment while delivering the institution’s 23rd convocation lecture in Ogun State.
Speaking on digital literacy, Radda said technological skills are now essential for job creation and economic participation.
“The world is changing rapidly, and opportunities lie in innovation and digital knowledge,” he said.
He highlighted global shifts in labour markets, noting that automation has displaced millions of jobs but also created new opportunities.
Radda urged graduates to embrace emerging technologies and leverage innovation to solve real-world problems.
