ABUJA, Nigeria – The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) warn Nigerians to ignore a fraudulent press release circulating on social media claiming the Agency has opened a recruitment exercise.
Speaking on Tuesday via the Agency’s official X handle, NAFDAC confirms that no such announcement has been made and stresses that the message is entirely false.
“While NAFDAC periodically conducts recruitment exercises to engage qualified Nigerians, no announcement has been issued at this time,” the Agency says.
NAFDAC cautions members of the public against engaging with or providing personal information to sources promoting the fake release, which may seek to mislead or extort unsuspecting applicants.
“All authentic NAFDAC information is communicated exclusively through official channels, including the NAFDAC website and verified social media handles,” the Agency adds, urging Nigerians to remain vigilant.
Authorities remind citizens that any recruitment announcements should be independently verified through official platforms before taking any action.
