ABUJA, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board schedules its 2026 policy meeting for May 11, where critical decisions on admission cut-off marks and guidelines for tertiary institutions will be finalised.
Spokesperson Fabian Benjamin on Sunday says the meeting will take place in Abuja, bringing together vice-chancellors, rectors and key regulatory bodies.
The Minister of Education, Maruf Alausa, is expected to unveil policy directions for the 2026/2027 academic session.
“The meeting will set the tone for admissions and ensure strict adherence to guidelines,” the board states.
Stakeholders including the National Universities Commission, National Board for Technical Education and National Youth Service Corps will participate.
The event will also feature the National Tertiary Admissions Performance-Merit Awards, promoting transparency and compliance.
