ABUJA, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board announces the commencement of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination change of institution and course process for candidates across Nigeria.
JAMB discloses the development in a notice issued on Friday by its spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on X.
The board advises candidates seeking to change their preferred institutions or programmes to visit accredited Computer-Based Test centres nationwide.
“Candidates wishing to change their institution or programme of choice may now proceed to do so by visiting any of the Board’s approved CBT centres,” the statement reads.
JAMB also announces that printing of the original 2026 UTME result slips will begin on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The examination body urges candidates to use only accredited CBT centres for printing result slips and accessing other official services.
The latest update follows weeks after JAMB released the 2026 UTME results while temporarily restricting candidates to checking scores through SMS platforms.
The commencement of the change process is expected to provide relief for candidates seeking admission adjustments following their examination performance and admission preferences.
Education stakeholders say the process remains critical for students aiming to improve their chances of securing admission into tertiary institutions across the country.
JAMB advises applicants to complete all modifications early to avoid delays during the admission cycle.
