ABUJA, Nigeria – An autistic youth, Tobechi “Toby” Achionye, is spearheading the Law Models Academy campaign in Abuja, promoting fashion, music, and literacy to inspire creativity and inclusion.
Chief Executive Officer of Law Models Academy, Larry Walker, praised Toby’s leadership at Monday’s launch. “Toby defies stereotypes about autism. His journey proves inclusion is strength, not charity,” Walker said.
According to him, Toby embodies the academy’s vision of creativity, relevance, and impact. “Through music, modelling, and courage, Toby shows Nigeria and the world that every person is somebody,” he added.
The campaign aims to empower 2,000 young Nigerians in fashion and modelling while advocating for the girl-child and inclusive opportunities for youths regardless of disability.
Chief Executive Officer of the “I Am the Future of Nigeria Youth Initiative”, Noni Okocha, commended Toby’s involvement. “Toby demonstrates that every child, regardless of disability, is relevant and capable of impact,” Okocha said.
