ABUJA, Nigeria – The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has commissioned a ₦717 million Faculty of Social Sciences Lecture Theatre and Office Complex at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), marking a significant step in improving teaching and learning infrastructure.
The facility, commissioned by the Chairman of TETFund’s Board of Trustees, Aminu Bello Masari, on Tuesday includes 22 en-suite offices, four 200-seater lecture theatres, and 12 public conveniences.
He noted that the project was executed under the 2020/2021 merged annual intervention and commended NSUK for its accountability and efficient project delivery.
“This is the third project TETFund is commissioning here in the last two to three years. It shows transparency and commitment to quality,” Masari said.
Masari revealed that 71% of TETFund’s infrastructure-based projects across beneficiary institutions have been completed between January and September 2025. Since becoming a beneficiary in 2003, NSUK has received over ₦12.7 billion in infrastructure investment.
Representing the Executive Secretary, TETFund Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Babatunde Olajide, urged the university to prioritise maintenance to ensure sustainability.
NSUK Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, described the project as transformative, noting it will improve learning conditions and staff welfare.
