ABUJA, Nigeria – The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) has declared October 11 as “Pharmacy Rx Emblem Month” to promote trust in community pharmacies and highlight their role in healthcare delivery.
ACPN National Chairman, Ezeh Igwekamma, said in Abuja on Wednesday that the Rx emblem symbolises professionalism, authenticity, and healing.
“Community pharmacies are safe spaces for genuine medicines and expert care,” he said, noting that the campaign aims to reaffirm pharmacists’ role in safeguarding public health.
“In a world threatened by counterfeit drugs, the Rx emblem stands as a beacon of assurance,” he added.
Igwekamma called on governments and the public to support pharmacists in improving access to quality medicines, preventive care, and counselling.
