ABUJA, Nigeria – The National Association of Seadogs (NSA) provides free medical services to more than 150 residents of Karon-Majigi, a suburb of Abuja, expanding access to healthcare in underserved communities.
The outreach held on Saturday at the local primary healthcare centre includes paediatric care, eye tests, diagnostics, counselling and medication.
NAS President Joseph Oteri says the intervention targets communities with limited access. “We conduct assessments to identify prevalent illnesses before deploying support,” he explains.
He calls for government investment in primary healthcare facilities to reduce pressure on hospitals.
Community leader Yunusa Bako praises the initiative. “This is timely. Our people are receiving much-needed care,” he says.
Beneficiaries also urge regular interventions to sustain impact.
