ABUJA, Nigeria – LG Electronics has introduced a new smart dehumidifier into Nigeria’s market, positioning it as a solution to rising humidity-related health risks, particularly in homes and hospitals.
At the launch, LG product expert Olugbenga Ogunbayo said the device automatically removes excess moisture, reducing conditions that foster mold, allergens and respiratory illnesses.
“Humidity affects breathing, comfort and even concentration,” he said.
The appliance is designed for use in high-risk environments such as hospitals, churches and hotels, where air quality is critical.
LG’s Head of Corporate Marketing in Nigeria, Paul Mba, described the product as a “smart solution” for improving indoor air quality and reducing allergy triggers.
The innovation comes as Nigeria’s tropical climate continues to expose millions to high humidity levels linked to respiratory conditions and environmental discomfort.
