LAGOS, Nigeria – The Lagos water infrastructure partnership receives a boost as the Lagos State Water Corporation (LSWC) and Julius Berger Nigeria Plc begin discussions on improving collaboration in the delivery of integrated water and road infrastructure projects across the state.
The discussions take place during a courtesy visit by the management of LSWC to Julius Berger’s Regional Office in Ijora, Lagos, according to a statement issued by the construction company on Friday.
Julius Berger Regional Commercial Manager, Alexander Bauer, says stronger cooperation between both organisations will improve infrastructure planning and create opportunities for technical collaboration.

Bauer emphasises the importance of early engagement before construction projects commence, noting that proper coordination helps minimise disruptions and delivers long-term value to communities.
Leading the LSWC delegation, Managing Director Engr. Mukhtaar Temitope Tijani describes the visit as part of efforts to strengthen institutional relationships and improve project coordination.
He says closer collaboration will ensure better planning where road construction intersects with water distribution infrastructure, particularly on Lagos Island and adjoining areas.
According to Tijani, regular information sharing on ongoing and planned projects will help protect critical water pipelines while reducing interruptions to water supply during road construction.
