KANO, Nigeria – Kano State Police Command deploys security forces and warns against disorderly conduct ahead of Eid-el-Fitr celebrations across the state.
Police spokesperson Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa says comprehensive security measures are in place in collaboration with other agencies to ensure a peaceful Sallah.
“The command has put in place robust security arrangements and will maintain law and order,” he states.
Authorities warn that unlawful behaviour will not be tolerated, noting that officers are fully mobilised to respond to any threats.
Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori urges residents to comply with all directives and respect public order.
“Parents should warn their children against being used by troublemakers,” Bakori says, adding that offenders will face prosecution.
Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activities through emergency lines as security presence increases across Kano.
Officials reaffirm commitment to safeguarding lives and property during the festive period.
