KANO, Nigeria – The Kano State Police Command assures residents of robust security arrangements ahead of Easter celebrations, pledging a peaceful and incident-free holiday.
Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori extends Easter greetings to Christians, urging unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
In a statement, police spokesperson Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa says officers are deployed to churches, event centres, and strategic locations across the state.
“The Command has deployed police personnel to all locations of worship and other strategic points to ensure peaceful celebrations,” the statement reads.
The commissioner directs area commanders and divisional officers to intensify patrols and maintain vigilance throughout the festive period.
Residents are urged to remain security conscious and report suspicious activities through emergency lines or the NPF Rescue Me application.
Authorities reaffirm commitment to protecting lives and property while encouraging public cooperation with law enforcement.
Security analysts note that proactive deployments during religious festivities help deter threats and maintain public order.
