IBEDC Staff Kidnapped on Duty Along Ogun Highway

IBADAN, Nigeria – The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company confirms the abduction of two staff members while on duty in Ogun State along the Ibadan–Ijebu Ode highway.

The workers were reportedly kidnapped on April 29 near the Ogunmakin axis during official operations.

The company on Monday says it is working closely with security agencies to secure their release. “We are deeply concerned and prioritising their safe return,” the management states.

IBEDC adds that it is supporting the families of the victims and maintaining communication with authorities involved in rescue efforts.

The firm urges restraint from the public as security operations continue, noting that details cannot yet be disclosed due to the sensitivity of the case.
