GOMBE, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police Force in Gombe State announces a two-day shooting range exercise, urging residents not to panic at the sound of gunfire.
Police spokesperson Buhari Abdullahi on Sunday says the exercise will take place on April 14 and 15 at the Gombe Military Shooting Range in Liji.
“The public is advised not to panic at the sound of gunshots during the period,” he says.

Authorities caution residents and commuters to avoid unnecessary movement near the designated area.
“Parents and guardians should also caution their children,” Abdullahi adds.
The police call for cooperation with security personnel, stressing that the exercise is aimed at strengthening public safety and security.
