ABUJA, Nigeria – The Nigerian Armed Forces intensifies operations, arresting suspected terrorists, informants and illegal miners across multiple states.
Defence spokesman Michael Onoja says the actions were conducted under Operation Hadin Kai and Operation Savannah Shield.
Troops arrest suspects in Borno State, Adamawa State and Taraba State, recovering weapons, cash and logistics materials.
In Niger State, seven suspects—including foreign nationals—are detained at an illegal mining site.
Security forces also rescue abducted victims in Kwara State and neutralise explosive devices.
“These operations aim to disrupt terrorist networks and supply chains,” Onoja says.
Authorities report destruction of infrastructure used by insurgents, including a bridge targeted to block troop movement.
The military says operations will continue to dismantle criminal networks and restore security in affected regions.
