ABUJA, Nigeria – The Christian Association of Nigeria is calling for national unity and reflection during Eid-el-Fitr, urging citizens to embrace a “national reset” amid ongoing challenges.
CAN President Daniel Okoh says the values of Ramadan—compassion, sacrifice, and generosity—should guide national cohesion.
“At a time like this, our nation needs unity more than ever,” he says.
Okoh highlights insecurity and economic hardship as key concerns but stresses that Nigeria’s diversity should be a strength rather than a source of division.
He urges Nigerians to prioritise dialogue, mutual respect, and collective action to rebuild social trust.
The association calls for prayers for peace, improved security, and economic recovery.
CAN aligns with Muslim leaders in promoting interfaith harmony and shared responsibility for national development.
“Let this Eid be more than a celebration; let it be a reset for our national conscience,” Okoh adds.
The message underscores growing calls for unity in addressing Nigeria’s complex socio-economic challenges.
