ABUJA, Nigeria – The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has launched a digital platform to streamline drug testing and visa clearance certificate processes, cutting through bureaucratic delays and manual verification challenges.
The new system, named the Drug Integrity Test and Visa E-Administration Platform, was officially unveiled in Abuja on Tuesday by NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.), represented by the Agency’s Secretary, Shadrach Haruna.
Marwa described the development as “a paradigm shift in Nigeria’s drug control framework,” aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the agency’s digital transformation goals.
“This automated system ensures transparency, reduces human interference, and accelerates certificate delivery,” Marwa said. “Applicants can now complete the process online — from registration to issuance.”
Under the new arrangement, drug integrity test certificates will be available instantly upon completion, while visa clearance certificates will be processed within three to seven days, depending on verification requirements.
The portal also features real-time tracking, electronic certification, and anti-fraud mechanisms, ensuring authenticity and institutional credibility.
Beyond visa applicants, the service will cater to students, employees, business owners, and couples seeking pre-marital screening.
