US Mission Halts X Updates Amid Funding Lapse, Services Continue

ABUJA, Nigeria – The United States Mission in Nigeria suspends regular updates on its X account due to a lapse in US government funding but says passport and visa services continue.
The Mission says only urgent safety or security information will be posted until full operations resume. “Scheduled passport and visa services will continue as the situation permits,” it states.
The move follows a partial US government shutdown after Congress misses a budget deadline
