Chief Medical Director, Ozovehe Shehu
LOKOJA, Nigeria – A new leadership era begins at the Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja as Ozovehe Shehu assumes office as substantive Chief Medical Director.
The appointment is confirmed on Monday by the Ebira Doctors’ Forum, which expresses confidence in his ability to reposition the institution.
“His achievements reflect dedication to service and commitment to workers’ welfare,” the forum states.
Shehu, a chemical pathologist, brings extensive leadership experience, having served in key roles within the Nigerian Medical Association and as former president of resident doctors at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital.
He succeeds Ojochide Ebune, who previously led the hospital in an acting capacity.
The forum pledges collaboration to strengthen healthcare delivery, as expectations grow for improved services and institutional reforms.
