ABUJA, Nigeria — The Society for Family Health (SFH) has announced major expansions in community-level healthcare delivery, unveiling a telemedicine platform, strengthened partnerships, and new training initiatives under its IntegratE Project.
The announcement on Tuesday followed a two-day review and planning meeting in Abuja, where regulators, implementing partners, and technical teams assessed progress ahead of Year 5 of the programme.
SFH’s Deputy Managing Director, Pharm. Kene Eruchalu applauded partners for sustaining momentum:
“Our partners’ dedication has been critical in driving projects like PACS and SWIFT. We remain committed to strengthening community health access nationwide.”
Chief of Party, Pharm. Emeka Okafor highlighted the synergy with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN), the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), and the Population Council
“This partnership has been instrumental in the success of key initiatives under IntegratE,” he said.
PCN representative Pharm. Ene Daniel Ebune said collaborative efforts have strengthened regulatory oversight and accelerated accreditation for community pharmacists and Patent Medicine Vendors.
Achievements reviewed at the meeting include the rollout of DMPA-SC/Self-Injection in Kano, Kaduna, Lagos, and Nasarawa, and continued expansion of the Three-Tier Accreditation System (3TAS).
Participants also launched SFHAccess, a telemedicine and inventory-management platform designed to provide remote consultations and improve medicine supply-chain efficiency.
The meeting ended with partners finalising the Year 5 work plan and reaffirming commitment to expanding access to quality primary healthcare across Nigeria.
