LAGOS, Nigeria – The Lagos State Police Command orders the immediate withdrawal of the Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit from traffic enforcement duties across the state.
Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai directs the move to streamline traffic management and improve professionalism.

“While the unit has been withdrawn from traffic-related responsibilities, all other assigned duties remain fully in force,” she states.
Authorities urge residents to verify the identity of enforcement personnel, noting multiple task forces operate within Lagos.
