ABUJA, Nigeria – The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) announces the opening of its remobilisation portal for corps members who abscond during service, setting a December 16–23 window for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ exercise.
In a public notice issued on Monday, the scheme says the online registration applies strictly to corps members who leave service without official clearance and now seek to complete the mandatory national assignment. “The NYSC Management wishes to inform corps members who abscond during service that the registration portal for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ remobilisation exercise will be opened from 16th to 23rd December 2025,” the statement reads.
The scheme clarifies that any refund of monthly allowances collected during the initial service period must be processed solely through the corps members’ online dashboard. No manual or offline refunds are accepted.
NYSC also addresses those who attempt remobilisation earlier in the year but fail to complete documentation. Corps members who register under the 2025 Batch ‘B’ exercise but do not document in their assigned state must restart the process.
“Absconded corps members who earlier registered during the 2025 Batch ‘B’ remobilisation exercise but could not document in the state of remobilisation will need to register afresh for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ exercise,” the management states.
The notice, signed by NYSC Management and shared on its verified digital platforms, urges affected corps members to strictly adhere to the timeline and guidelines to avoid disqualification.
The NYSC reiterates that national service remains compulsory and warns that failure to regularise service status may limit access to public and private sector opportunities that require an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
