Nigeria First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu
BAUCHI, Nigeria — The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated 1,000 bags of 25kg rice to Christians in Bauchi State to support them during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The donation was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday by the Bauchi State Coordinator of the Christian Northern Nigeria Political Forum (CNNPF), Mr. Ayuba Dogara, during the distribution of the items in the state.
Dogara said the rice, donated through the CNNPF, would be equitably shared among beneficiaries across the 20 local government areas of Bauchi State.
According to him, the gesture reflected solidarity and appreciation for CNNPF members who supported the nation’s leadership even before the emergence of the current administration, adding that it demonstrated empathy and recognition of their contributions.
“The distribution of Christmas packages to Christian families across Northern Nigeria is a testament to the First Lady’s deep sense of empathy, commitment to national service and moral leadership,” he said.
He urged citizens to continue to live in peace and harmony, stressing that meaningful nation-building thrived in an atmosphere of unity, mutual understanding and cooperation across communities.
Dogara also called on local government coordinators to ensure fair and transparent distribution of the items so that they reached the intended beneficiaries without discrimination.
In his remarks, the APC Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area, Mr Istifanus Manasseh, commended President Bola Tinubu’s leadership style, noting its emphasis on inclusiveness and programmes aimed at supporting ordinary Nigerians.
A beneficiary, Mr Bage Maitandu, expressed gratitude for the donation, describing it as a symbol of care, encouragement and shared hope during the festive season, while pledging continued support for the Tinubu administration.
