ABUJA, NIGERIA – Nigeria is set to spotlight its groundbreaking innovations in family planning and reproductive health as the Society for Family Health (SFH) prepares to lead several sessions at the upcoming International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP 2025), scheduled for 1–6 November 2025 in Bogotá, Colombia.
Recognised as the world’s largest convening on family planning and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), ICFP 2025 will bring together policymakers, researchers, advocates, and development partners under the theme “Equity Through Action: Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for All.”
The organisation will feature in over 30 sessions and side events, including oral presentations, panel discussions, and research showcases.
Speaking ahead of the conference on Friday, SFH said Nigeria’s presence will demonstrate “data-driven progress in adolescent SRH, gender equity, digital health, and private sector partnerships.”
The ICFP 2025 comes as Nigeria intensifies efforts to achieve its Family Planning 2030 (FP2030) commitments, which target increasing modern contraceptive prevalence and improving access to reproductive health services for women and young people.
“From innovation to policy advocacy, we’re proud to represent Africa’s voice and reaffirm our commitment to advancing sexual and reproductive health for all,” SFH stated.
