LAGOS, Nigeria – Nigeria and the European Union will deepen economic cooperation at the 10th Nigeria-EU Business Forum scheduled to take place in Lagos on June 25.
Organisers say the event will bring together government officials, investors, business executives, development partners and industry leaders to explore new trade and investment opportunities.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the European Union, the forum will focus on mobilising private sector investment, strengthening value chains and expanding business opportunities across critical sectors of the Nigerian economy.
The event will feature policy dialogues, business-to-business engagements and exhibitions showcasing investment-ready projects and innovative solutions designed to support sustainable economic growth.
EU Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Gautier Mignot, described the forum as a key platform for turning economic ambitions into tangible investments.
“The forum has evolved into a platform for translating economic ambitions into concrete investments,” Mignot said.
He added that the landmark 10th edition reflects the shared commitment of both partners to sustainable development and long-term prosperity.
Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, also highlighted the importance of the forum in attracting strategic investments aligned with national development priorities.
“This is an important platform for attracting investments aligned with Nigeria’s development goals,” Bagudu said.
He noted that stronger trade and investment partnerships would help stimulate enterprise growth, create jobs and enhance economic competitiveness.
The Nigeria-EU Business Forum has become one of the leading platforms for economic engagement between both partners, supporting efforts to unlock new investment opportunities and strengthen bilateral relations.
Observers expect discussions to focus heavily on infrastructure, renewable energy, manufacturing, agriculture and digital innovation.
