ABUJA, Nigeria – The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced a final 48-hour reopening of its student verification portal to allow non-compliant tertiary institutions to complete verification for the 2024/2025 academic session.
According to a statement signed by NELFUND’s Director of Strategic Communications, Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the portal will reopen from 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, to 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
The Fund said the extension aims to ensure that all eligible students are properly verified by their institutions before accessing the national student loan scheme.
“This is the final opportunity for all institutions yet to upload or verify student data,” Oluwatuyi said. “Failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe will result in exclusion from the current loan cycle, affecting students who rely on the loan for their studies.”
Institutions and stakeholders seeking clarification are encouraged to contact NELFUND via info@nelf.gov.ng or its official social media handles @nelfund across X, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, or visit www.nelf.gov.ng.
