LAGOS, Nigeria – The Lagos State Government inaugurates a 150KVA solar power system to supply clean and stable electricity to Radio Lagos and Eko FM.
Commissioner for Information Gbenga Omotoso describes the project as a major step toward sustainable infrastructure.
“This project marks a significant stride toward smarter, more sustainable systems,” he says.
Energy Commissioner Abiodun Ogunleye says the system will ensure uninterrupted power for critical communication services.
“This will maintain high service standards and improve energy resilience,” he adds.
General Manager Jide Lawal says the initiative ushers in a new era of operational efficiency.
“As we inaugurate this system, we celebrate a brighter future… to keep the airwaves alive—day or night,” he says.
Officials note the project aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s clean energy agenda.
