ILORIN, Nigeria – Kwara health authorities dismiss circulating vaccine misinformation, urging parents to continue immunising children against preventable diseases.
Executive Secretary, Nusirat Elelu,in a statement on Wednesday described the claims as dangerous and misleading.
“These vaccines are safe, effective and approved by global health authorities,” she says.
The agency confirms all vaccines used in the state meet standards set by the World Health Organization and UNICEF.
Officials warn that refusal to vaccinate increases the risk of disease outbreaks, including polio, and undermines public health gains.
Healthcare workers have been deployed statewide to ensure safe immunisation as authorities intensify awareness campaigns.
