ABUJA, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board releases results of 632,788 candidates from the first day of the 2026 UTME, warning against manipulation.
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin says candidates can check results via SMS using registered phone numbers.
“Candidates are strongly cautioned against manipulating the SMS… such actions constitute a serious criminal offence,” he says.
The board reveals that two candidates and one parent are already in custody for falsifying results using digital tools.
Officials stress that result tampering undermines the integrity of the examination system.
At this stage, candidates can only view results, while printing will be enabled later.
The examination continues nationwide, with additional batches of results to be released.
JAMB reiterates its commitment to transparency and strict enforcement against malpractice.
