ADAMAWA, Nigeria – Troops of Operation Hadin Kai arrest eight suspects linked to the Gamboru Market Mosque suicide bombing during a coordinated counter-terrorism operation in Adamawa State.
The arrests occurred in the early hours of January 5, following a cordon-and-search operation in Yan Lemo, Mubi South Local Government Area, based on sustained intelligence surveillance.
Military sources confirm that two principal suspects play key roles in supplying materials used in assembling the improvised explosive device (IED) deployed in the attack.
Recovered items include cash, mobile phones, ATM cards, identification documents and jewellery, now undergoing forensic analysis.
A suspect already in custody identifies the principal facilitators, strengthening ongoing efforts to dismantle terror networks in the region.
The suspects remain in military custody as investigations continue.
