ABUJA, Nigeria – The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) FCT Sector Command has handed over a group of suspected one-chance robbers to the FCT Police Command for further investigation and prosecution, following a swift interception along the Wuse axis of Abuja.
Sector Commander, Felix Theman confirmed the development, explaining that the suspects were arrested after allegedly shoving a victim out of their moving vehicle.
“The syndicate was intercepted by our patrol team along the Wuse route after the suspects allegedly pushed a victim out of a moving vehicle,” Theman said in a statement on Saturday.
He added that the quick response by the FRSC team was part of its mandate to ensure safety on Abuja’s roads and protect residents from criminal activities.
“We immediately transferred the suspects to the FCT Police Command to allow for a detailed investigation and appropriate prosecution,” he said.
The arrest underscores ongoing inter-agency collaboration between the FRSC and the Nigeria Police to curb the menace of one-chance gangs in the nation’s capital.
