ABUJA, Nigeria – The Federal Government has called on Nigerians, businesses and key stakeholders to submit proposals for the Finance Bill 2027, as part of efforts to develop fiscal policies that will strengthen the economy, improve tax administration and promote sustainable growth.
According to the ministry on Friday, the Finance Bill 2027 is expected to introduce reforms that improve the ease of doing business, attract investments, strengthen revenue mobilisation, enhance fiscal transparency and reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens on businesses.
The ministry urged businesses, investors, professional associations, civil society organisations, academics and members of the public to submit practical, evidence-based recommendations capable of addressing existing gaps in Nigeria’s fiscal and tax laws.
“The exercise is designed to build better fiscal laws together and ensure that stakeholders actively participate in shaping policies that affect Nigeria’s economy,” the ministry said.
The Federal Government said submissions would be accepted until Friday, September 11, 2026.
Interested stakeholders can submit their proposals via the ministry’s designated online portal or through the official email address financebill2027@fmf.gov.ng.
