ASABA, Nigeria – Police in Delta State intensify operations against drug abuse following the death of a 15-year-old boy linked to misuse of prescription medication.
The victim reportedly consumes multiple tablets without medical supervision, leading to fatal complications.
Police Commissioner, Yemi John Oyeniyi, on Wednesday said authorities are targeting drug dens and illegal distribution networks.
“This incident reflects the dangers of drug misuse, especially among youths,” the command states.
A suspect is in custody as investigations continue, while police urge residents to report suspicious drug-related activities.
