ABUJA, Nigeria – The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation commits $7.2 million to strengthen sexual and reproductive health research, supporting global efforts amid declining funding.
The investment, announced via the World Health Organization, will support the Human Reproduction Programme in advancing evidence-based healthcare solutions.
“This support strengthens our ability to drive science-backed action globally,” says Pascale Allotey.
Officials warn that cuts to global aid threaten progress in areas such as contraception, safe abortion care, and adolescent health.
CIFF’s funding is described as flexible and strategic, enabling critical research and policy development. “Partnerships like this are vital as funding gaps widen,” notes Miles Kemplay.
The collaboration aims to scale solutions, support governments, and strengthen health systems worldwide.
