ABUJA, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) releases 1.26 million additional results from the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), bringing the total number published to nearly 1.9 million.
JAMB spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin on Sunday confirms that the results cover candidates who sit the exam on April 17 and 18.
“A total of 1,264,940 results from these two days are now available for candidates to check,” he says.
The latest batch adds to the earlier release of over 632,000 results, reflecting rapid processing as the nationwide examination continues.
Candidates are advised to check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using their registered phone numbers.
JAMB reiterates that results are released in phases to ensure accuracy and integrity.
The UTME remains one of Nigeria’s largest entrance examinations, conducted across accredited computer-based test centres.
Education stakeholders say timely result releases reduce anxiety among candidates and improve transparency.
The board urges candidates awaiting results to remain calm as additional batches are processed.
More results are expected in the coming days as the examination progresses nationwide.
