KATSINA, Nigeria – Jobberman Nigeria, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, empowers over 400 women and persons with disabilities through a skills and inclusion programme in Katsina State.
The initiative targets entrepreneurs, professionals, internally displaced persons and vulnerable groups, aiming to expand access to economic opportunities.
Senior Strategy Consultant Oladoyin Kolawole says the programme challenges systemic barriers limiting women’s advancement.
“We are opening doors for women and ensuring equal access to opportunities,” she says.
Delivering a keynote, Zulaiyath Radda calls for stronger investment in education, healthcare and financial independence for women.
“Empowerment requires creating environments where women can thrive,” she says.
The programme features training in financial literacy, health, business development and career advisory, alongside medical screenings and a trade fair showcasing women-led enterprises.
Beneficiary Maryam Yusuf says the initiative equips her with practical skills to grow her business.
Organisers urge participants to leverage the training and build networks for sustainable impact.
