Deputy Governor, Kano State, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo
KANO, Nigeria – The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, extends condolences to the family of Hajiya Binta Adam, mother of Africa Health Report (AHR) journalist Hussaini Ibrahim, describing her death as a painful loss to both family and society.
In a condolence message issued on Thursday, Gwarzo says Hajiya Binta, who died at over 50 years old, leaves behind three children and a legacy of discipline, humility, and strong moral values. He notes that her influence is reflected in the character and professionalism of her children.
“Hajiya Binta is remembered as a responsible and devoted mother who raises her children with respect for others and commitment to upright living,” Gwarzo says.
The deputy governor prays for Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, while asking God to give the bereaved family strength and patience to bear the loss.
“On behalf of my office, I condole with the entire family, relatives, and loved ones over this painful loss,” he adds.
Condolence visits by public officials remain a key aspect of Kano’s governance culture, often aimed at showing solidarity with citizens during moments of grief. Observers say such gestures reinforce public trust and shared humanity between leaders and the people they serve.
Hajiya Binta’s burial rites are conducted in line with Islamic traditions, as friends, colleagues, and well-wishers continue to send messages of sympathy to the family.
