President, Bola Tinubu
ABUJA, Nigeria – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a ₦250,000 non-repayable grant for outstanding Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) participating in the Expanded National MSME Clinic held on Tuesday in Katsina State.
Announcing the approval, Vice-President Kashim Shettima described the funding as a “direct boost to grassroots entrepreneurship” and part of government efforts to drive innovation, production, and job creation across local communities.
“MSMEs remain the backbone of our national economy,” Shettima said. “This administration is determined to ease economic hardship by empowering small businesses.”
The Expanded MSME Clinic, a collaboration between federal and state governments, serves as a one-stop hub connecting business owners with key regulatory and financial institutions such as the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), NAFDAC, and the Bank of Industry (BOI).
Shettima added that the ₦250,000 grant complements the ₦75 billion MSME Intervention Fund, offering low-interest loans of up to ₦5 million, and the ₦50 billion Conditional Grant Scheme targeting one million nano enterprises nationwide.
Praising Governor Dikko Radda for establishing the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA), Shettima said the state was “emerging as a hub for agriculture, crafts, and digital enterprise.”
