ABUJA, Nigeria — The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has distributed a total of ₦2.103 trillion from September 2025 revenue to the Federal Government, states and local councils.
The communiqué released after the October meeting in Abuja on Friday detailed that the shared revenue included ₦1.239 trillion in statutory funds, ₦812.59 billion in VAT, and ₦51.68 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).
According to FAAC, gross revenue for September stood at ₦3.054 trillion, from which ₦116.15 billion was deducted for collection costs and ₦835.01 billion allocated for transfers, interventions, and savings.
From the total distributable sum, the Federal Government received ₦711.31 billion, states ₦727.17 billion, and local governments ₦529.95 billion, while ₦134.96 billion (13% derivation) went to oil-producing states.
FAAC noted that VAT and EMTL collections rose significantly, while Companies Income Tax and CET levies declined. Petroleum Profit Tax increased marginally, and oil and gas royalties dropped slightly.
The committee emphasised that steady VAT growth shows improving non-oil revenue performance, despite global oil market volatility.
