ABUJA, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed candidates eligible for the 2026 Mop-Up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to immediately print their examination notification slips ahead of the exercise scheduled for Saturday, June 13.
JAMB announced that the slips are now available online and contain crucial details, including examination centres, dates, times and instructions required for participation in the examination.
The Board disclosed this in a statement signed by its Public Communication Advisor, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday.
The JAMB Mop-Up UTME 2026 is designed for candidates who were unable to sit the main examination because of technical issues or failed biometric verification during the earlier exercise.
According to the Board, candidates should visit the official JAMB portal and click on the “Print 2026 Mop-Up UTME Slip” link to access their examination details.
Dr Benjamin urged affected candidates to print their slips early and familiarise themselves with their examination centres to avoid last-minute challenges that could affect their participation.
“The notification slip contains important information that candidates require for a seamless examination experience,” the statement said.
JAMB also stressed that the mop-up examination represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to participate in the 2026 UTME.
“No further examination will be conducted after this exercise,” the Board stated.
The examination body encouraged candidates to take advantage of the opportunity and ensure adequate preparation before the scheduled date.
Education stakeholders say the mop-up exercise demonstrates JAMB’s commitment to ensuring that candidates affected by unforeseen circumstances are not denied access to tertiary education admissions.
With thousands of candidates expected to participate nationwide, the Board has reiterated the importance of strict compliance with examination guidelines to ensure a smooth and credible exercise.
