NNPCL Group CEO, Bashir Ojulari
LAGOS, Nigeria — The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has assured Nigerians that the recent surge in cooking gas prices is temporary and will stabilise soon.
Speaking after briefing President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer Bashir Ojulari said: “The slight price hike in cooking gas is temporary. We are confident prices will normalise soon.”
Ojulari noted that NNPCL’s robust oil production performance has helped stabilise Nigeria’s energy market. He also confirmed that the company recently resolved a dispute between PENGASSAN and the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, restoring industrial harmony and improving fuel distribution.
“NNPCL remains committed to ensuring energy security and market stability for Nigerians,” he added.
The company said the discussions with the President were part of broader efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s energy resilience amid fluctuating global oil prices.
