ABA, Nigeria – A fire outbreak damages a warehouse linked to Nigerian Breweries Plc in Aba, Abia State, destroying stored materials but leaving core operations unaffected.
The company confirms the incident occurs at a leased facility used for storing empty plastic crates, located opposite its brewery.
In a statement signed by Company Secretary Uaboi Agbebaku on Friday, the firm says emergency responders quickly contain the fire, preventing escalation.
“No injuries or fatalities are recorded, and damage is limited to empty crates,” the statement says.
The company commends emergency agencies, alongside support from Oris Group and local residents, for their swift response.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
Nigerian Breweries assures stakeholders that production, distribution and sales activities at its Aba plant continue without disruption.
“We remain committed to safety and operational efficiency across all facilities,” the company adds.
