KADUNA, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police Force records a major breakthrough in Kaduna State, arresting six suspected kidnappers and rescuing victims in a targeted intelligence-led operation.
Force spokesperson Anthony Okon Placid on Tuesday says the suspects are linked to a notorious syndicate operating from Rijana Forest, responsible for multiple high-profile abductions.
“The suspects are connected to organised kidnapping activities across Kaduna and neighbouring areas,” he states.
Police investigations reveal the group’s involvement in ransom-driven crimes, including the abduction of a senior police officer and family members, with millions of naira paid before rescue efforts.
Authorities confirm that several victims have been freed, while operations continue to track fleeing gang members and dismantle the wider network.
The police reiterate commitment to intensifying anti-kidnapping operations and restoring security across affected regions.
