KANO, Nigeria – The Women Leaders Support Advancement Network (WLSA) urges collective responsibility in healthcare delivery as it provides free medical services to over 1,500 women and children across Kano State.
Speaking on Saturday during the outreach in Kano State, National Coordinator Fauziya Buhari-Ado says the government alone cannot meet healthcare needs. “We all have a role to play in ensuring no one is left behind,” she states.
The programme, supported by the Kano State Government, delivers consultations, medicines, diagnostics and referrals, targeting vulnerable populations.
“We believe healthy women build strong families,” Buhari-Ado adds, stressing prevention and early treatment.
State Health Commissioner Abubakar Yusuf welcomes the intervention, noting opportunities for future collaboration, while local authorities pledge continued support.
Participants describe the outreach as lifesaving, particularly for underserved communities lacking access to basic care.
